Long Neck Ladies

These kind of ladies can be found in Inle in Myanmar...They believe that stretching their necks make them become more beautiful....They have to live with their rings every day...

As it's tradition for them, they believe that they shouldn't take them out ...They usually started keep adding rings from the ages of 10 to 12 until their death...

However, there are some shows on national geographic that they can take take the rings off ...but it's a really big chance that it might break their necks...

Actually , the necks don't grow , it's their shoulders that shrink...However , some say the necks grow and some say they don't ...Nevertheless, it's not safe for them to take off....

Anyway , it's fascinating to see the ladies who wearing the gold rings on their necks...
